In 2004 René received his graduate degree from Sint Lucas with specialization in ‘Advertising, Presentation and Communication’. During this period, René worked as an intern at FLAIM (an agency for Strategy, Concept & Design) in Oosterhout for a full year where he was a member of the team as a designer. He learned about DTP, graphic design and how to work from a concept. After his internship he was employed for two months as a Creative DTP operator to support the fast growing FLAIM.
After closing this chapter René went to the Academy of Visual Arts and Design at St. Joost in Breda, where he wanted to increase his knowledge in graphic design. Because during this study his interest in multimedia was expanding, René decided to make the move to Communication and Multimedia Design. Making movies, animations, Flash games, (Flash) websites and other elements in Flash and HTML/CSS was very interesting. He can now combine his drawing skills with modern mediums. During this study, he gained more experience as an intern Interaction Designer with his internship at ISM eCompany in Rotterdam. Illustrating, HTML/CSS and making Flash animations were one of the many assignments. He especially gained more technical skills of the creative tools like Illustrator and Photoshop and learned more about HTML and CSS.
Two years after obtaining his bachelor degree, René started his own company with a former fellow student. Thus, in July 2014, ENR Concepts was born were they hunt for new trends and business ideas. Within this company René took the role of Jr. Multimedia and Interaction Designer upon himself.
René loves to surf on the Internet and Twitter to look out for new design trends and ideas or follow the newest technology trends and news. When he’s not behind his computer, he loves to go to the gym to clear his mind, watch a movie at home or in the theaters or go a night out with his girl and friends.
